WhatsApp, the Facebook-owned messaging app, is reportedly removing a feature that enabled users to create chat groups rooms in their discussions. It’s been about a year since the feature was launched.
According to reports, WhatsApp has deactivated the Messenger Rooms shortcut for the iOS and Android versions of the app.
In May of 2020, Facebook Messenger received a new shortcut that allows users to rapidly create groups of up to 50 members.
According to a tweet from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is doing rid of the pointless chat sharing option.
WhatsApp verifies which features are used by their users. If the feature didn’t achieve success, it means it’s the moment to modify it. In this case, Whatsapp have verified that the option is not used, The messaging app might have thought it would have been better to remove it, maybe including a good replacement for the next updates.
