Rizwan Surpasses Kohli, Rahul and Finch T20 Record:
Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batter, made another record in the starters against England by being the joint fastest batter to achieve 2,000 runs in T20 Cricket.
The England cricket team defeated Pakistan by six wickets in the opening T20 International of the seven-match series on Tuesday in Karachi, completing their 17-year absence from Pakistan in dramatic fashion.
Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan hit 68 off 46 balls to help Pakistan set a target of 158, but English opener Alex Hales dashed Pakistani supporters’ dreams by sealing victory.
Rizwan equaled Babar’s record during his 52nd innings in a T20 match against England, scoring 68 runs and became the third fastest player to amass 2,000 runs in T20.
Previously, skipper Babar Azam set the record for the quickest 2,000 runs in 52 innings, overtaking Indian star Virat Kohli, who set the mark in 56 innings of T20I.
