LAHORE: The Punjab government has declared that all private and public schools would resume normal classes on October 11th.
“There will be no more staggered approaches.” Murad Raas, Punjab Education Minister, tweeted, “Welcome back to the usual routine.”
To limit the spread of COVID-19, the minister further asked everyone to observe the government-mandated SOP.
The provincial education minister made the statement after the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) allowed educational establishments to resume regular sessions on Monday due to a decrease in viral infections.
Following an assessment of the pandemic situation during a meeting on Thursday, the NCOC made the decision.
The forum had agreed to reopen educational institutions based on the reduced level of disease spread and the launch of the school vaccination programme, Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar said in a tweet.
Educational institutions were earlier operating on 50% capacity across the country after they had reopened following intermittent closures due to the prevalence of COVID-19.
