President FBR: Revenue raise 41% compared to the previous fiscal year

The chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has told the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Finance that revenues have increased by 41% over the previous financial year.

The National Assembly was chaired by Faizullah Kamuka at a meeting of the Standing Committee on Finance.

The President FBR stated that the tax system has improved with the increased turnover, with revenue tax refunds of more than Rs. 323 billion yet to be paid. In order to enhance the output of industries, Rs. 181 billion were granted sales tax returns.

Ayesha Ghous Pasha of the PML-N stated not everything is currently going smoothly.

President FBR stated that his task is not policy-making but policy implementation.

Ayesha Ghous Pasha claimed that due to an increase in imports customs duties had grown by 47%.
