The Clerical Staff Association of Pakistan Railways has called for a strike over the department’s delay in paying employees salaries and the 13-day suspension of train service caused by the continuing floods in the nation.
Details indicate that the recent floods in the nation have cost Pakistan Railways billions in losses and infrastructure damage.
Due to the disaster, train service has been halted for 13 days.
As a result, the Pakistan Railways department did not pay any of the Karachi division employees salaries for the month of August.
After the delay in wage payments, workers also organized a demonstration/protest outside the divisional accounts offices.
Pakistan Railways Clerk Staff Association has declared a strike for tomorrow in protest of the non-payment of employees salary.
