Jahangir Tareen Announced PKR 10 Crores For Flood Victims

Former MNA & Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen has announced an aid of PKR 10 crore for flood victims across the country.

Ex Member of National Assembly Jahangir Tareen has said that businessmen and philanthropists should come forward for flood victims, a joint national effort is needed to help millions of Pakistanis.

Jahangir Tareen’s relief items for the flood victims include rations, tents, tarpaulins, mosquito nets, women’s hygiene kits and cash aid.

Who Is Jahangir Khan Tareen:

The principal shareholder and CEO of the JDW Group, a conglomerate with four sugar mills, two power units for biomass (bagasse) cogeneration, paper production, corporate sugarcane farming on 30,000 acres of land, and aviation services, is the Pakistani business tycoon Jahangir Khan Tareen.

Jahangir Tareen also serves as the chairman and owner of the J.K. Group, a conglomerate with two sugar-related businesses, corporate farming of sugarcane and milk production.

Additionally, he is the chairman and owner of Indus Mining and United Foods Pvt. Ltd (Ali Tareen Farms, Lodhran).

Between 2002 and 2017, Khan served as a member of the Pakistani National Assembly three times.

Tareen, who was raised in Comilla, was schooled at Forman Christian College in Lahore before enrolling at the University of North Carolina.

He had previously worked as a banker and professor before entering politics.
