Babar Azam, Pakistan’s captain, has recently broken a lot of records, and he added another to his list during the second T20I against Bangladesh. Despite scoring only one run in the second T20I, Babar overtook veteran cricketer Mohammad Hafeez to become Pakistan’s highest T20I run scorer.
Babar was ranked first among batters in the game’s shortest format, scoring 2,515 runs in just 64 innings, while Hafeez scored 2,514 runs in 108 innings.

Shoaib Malik, a senior cricketer who has scored 2,423 runs in 110 innings, is in third place.
With an average of 47.43 and a strike rate of 129.78, Babar has reached this milestone. In T20I cricket, he has one century and 24 half-centuries to his name.
Babar broke the record of the fastest batsman to reach 7,000 runs in just 189 innings. Previously the record was held by the ‘Universe Boss‘ Chris Gayle who reached the milestone in his 192nd inning.
The 27-year-old also holds the record of the fastest batsman to reach the 2,000-run mark, leaving behind the Indian skipper Virat Kohli. He reached the milestone in just 52 innings, while previously, Kohli achieved this milestone in 56 innings.
Babar also became the only batsman to have scored most centuries during a single calendar year. He scored six centuries during the period of one year.
