Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, the Minister of Interior, said yesterday that a separate market for women will be built in the federal capital by October 30.
He said this while speaking at the Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s 12th Annual General Meeting 2021-22.
He invited women to take leadership roles in a variety of areas, emphasising the importance of their participation in the country’s overall development. He emphasised the significance of their inclusion in both public and private enterprises in order to enhance overall performance.
Minister Ahmad acknowledged that women have to face numerous challenges, including pay gaps, mobility issues, discrimination, and lack of job security, and that these challenges have increased due to the pandemic.
He added that “two women universities have been established in Rawalpindi and a third one would be established soon,” the minister revealed.
