Harmanpreet Kaur Beats Rohit Sharma
Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, made history during the India vs. Ireland match at the 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup. She became the first cricketer ever, male or female, to play 150 T20I matches, a remarkable achievement for Harmanpreet.
Before the match, Harmanpreet shared that her team had gifted her something special in the dressing room, which deeply touched her. In the must-win match, India won the toss and decided to bowl first. They made one change to the team, bringing in Devika Vaidya for Radha Yadav, who was unwell.

Harmanpreet Since 2009 Women’s T20 World Cup
Harmanpreet made her debut in T20I during the 2009 Women’s T20 World Cup, where she played against England. From that moment on, she has participated in 150 T20I matches, with a total score of 2993 runs and an average of 27.97, which includes a century. Since 2018, Harmanpreet has been the captain of India’s T20I team and is currently leading the squad for the third time in a major event.
Thanks to Harmanpreet’s leadership, India achieved the semi-finals of the 2018 Women’s T20 World Cup and reached the final of the 2020 edition, though they lost to Australia. In their upcoming match versus Ireland, winning would all but guarantee India’s spot in the semi-finals. However, winning the group would be a challenge, and it is highly probable they will face Australia in the semis.
