According to BBC Urdu, the monument was placed in a high-security zone near the General Officer Commanding’s (GOC) home and the Deputy Inspector General’s office in June 2021.

The event has enraged a large number of Pakistanis.

While DC Gawadar said militants planted an improvised explosive device near the monument, there were reports of a hand grenade being thrown at it.

Jam Kamal Khan, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, has vehemently denounced the incident.

Terrorists will not be permitted to destroy the province’s tranquilly, according to the chief minister. He ordered the relevant authorities to apprehend the attackers as soon as possible.

A complaint was filed against unnamed persons at the CTD Gwadar police station on Monday under Section 7 of the ATA and the Explosives Act [punishment for acts of terrorism].
