Gang Busted By CIA & AVLC Selling Stolen Karachi Bikes To Balochistan:
The Central Investigation Agency’s (CIA) Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) has apprehended a group for stealing bikes from Karachi and smuggling them to Balochistan.
According to Tariq Nawaz, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), the five-member gang came to Karachi to steal motorcycles, which they afterwards sold in Sakran, Balochistan.
Using CCTV video, the police identified one of the suspects and then executed a raid to apprehend the others. They also confiscated a number of stolen motorcycles from the group, according to SSP Nawaz.
Earlier this month, the AVLC returned 965 motorcycles and 109 automobiles to their owners after they were either stolen or taken at gunpoint in various parts of the city.
Javed Alam Odho, the Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG), briefed the media on Karachi Police’s performance and stated that the AVLC has recovered around 2,808 motorbikes and 527 automobiles since January.
He explained that the AVLC operates across the province and that it frequently travels to other regions of the country, including Balochistan, to apprehend individuals and retrieve stolen cars.
He recommended the public to have automobiles inspected by the AVLC or a local police station before purchasing them, citing incidents in which individuals learned that their newly purchased vehicles had been reported stolen or had falsified chassis numbers.
