Elon Musk has been named Time magazine’s “Person of the Year” for 2021.

Tesla’s market value skyrocketed to more than $1 trillion this year, making the electric vehicle company more valuable than Ford and General Motors combined together.
Tesla produces hundreds of thousands of vehicles each year, where its rivals have struggled with supply chain issues in recent months.
Tesla has largely managed to avert them while simultaneously promoting the switch to EVs to younger consumers.
Time magazine editor-in-chief Edward Felsenthal said “Elon Musk is TIME’s 2021 Person of the Year for creating solutions to an existential crisis, for embodying the possibilities and the perils of the age of tech titans.”
