Declares 124 ‘FUGITIVE’ by Sindh Education Department

KARACHI: Sindh education department has declared its 124 employees in District East as ‘fugitive’ and terminated services of 31 staffers.

The reports from the Monitoring and Evaluation Dept. following a survey in August indicated that “fugitives were away from their jobs yet receiving their pay regularly.”

Teachers and the administrative staff were those who were proclaimed runaway or dismissed from work.

“The study showed that these instructors and other staff were not present,” the report said.

“The report was sent to the secretary of training by the monitoring and evaluation department. Those who were unable to provide their response were sent forced withdrawals in three days,” stated the South District Education Officer (DEO).

“Some of these workers have been refused increase and have been reinstated,” says the DEO.
