The Civil Aviation Authority on Tuesday decided to take tough action on unpaid money by the national flag carrier, PIA, on account of the huge amount in terms of airport, security, and embarkation charges.
PIA owes the CAA up to Rs127 billion, according to the CAA. Officials from the CAA stated that they will deal with the situation as soon as possible.
CAA authorities said that PIA was not paying the dues that were levied on all international passengers.

Interestingly, until PIA’s reorganisation was completed, all payments owing to it would stay unpaid.
In another incident, the CAA informed its Kuwaiti counterpart that if PIA was not allowed to land in Kuwait by October 1, Kuwait Airlines would be barred from operating in Pakistan.
